Conveyancer's guide to new ATO requirements

From 1 July 2016, new rules apply to sales of taxable Australian property with a market value of $2 million or more. The purchaser must deduct 10% from the purchase price and pay that amount to the ATO unless the seller presents a tax ‘clearance certificate’. ATO Extends SuperStream Deadline

The ATO has granted small business owners an extension in complying with SuperStream.

Small employers (19 or fewer employees) must now meet the SuperStream standard by 28 October 2016.  The original deadline was 30 June 2016.

Now is the time for those small businesses not compliant to make becoming SuperStream ready a priority.
