Growth prompts new appointments at Maxim

Newcastle’s Maxim Accounting has expanded its business by reintroducing Scott Norrish as a Director. Maxim has also recently added four qualified Client Managers, strengthening its reputation as one of the leading business advisory firms in the Hunter.

Co-owner Steve Roxby said Maxim was enjoying growth as many business owners themselves were looking to take advantage of business opportunities.

“While some people are feeling uncertain in these economic times, others are seeing opportunities to diversify and actually grow their businesses. It is encouraging that changing business conditions continue to unearth new and exciting opportunities,” Steve said.
Scott started his career with Maxim and learned the ropes for almost a decade before spreading his wings.

“I wanted to experience business ownership and feel what business owners felt, and this has made me a better business advisor. At Maxim I can further develop my expertise in self-managed superannuation funds and cloud based accounting systems, as these services continue to be demanded more by business owners. Maxim owners Steve Roxby and Chris Sneddon shaped my career and taught me about the importance of client service and how to build strong relationships,” Scott said.

Cassandra Sharp, Scott Brooks, Courtney Dolan and Matthew a’Beckett also joined Maxim in the first half of this year. With each displaying a dedication to personal and client growth, they have seamlessly adapted to the Maxim style of business advisory.

Chris said Scott’s return and the recruitment of four quality individuals were key strategic additions to the team and would strengthen the business, particularly in the areas of self-managed superannuation and business succession services.

“We are finding business owners want more support and commercial advice with strategic planning so we are expanding our business and our expertise to meet market demands,” Chris said.

The team at Maxim continues to grow and develop to meet the needs of our clients and to uphold our reputation as a leader in the accouting and business advisory field.
