The Enterprise Connect Scheme is a Federal Government initiative to support businesses in various industries.  Announced in the recent budget, this scheme will cease 30 June, 2014.  There is however limited opportunity for businesses to qualify for approved funding up to $20,000.

To be eligible the business must trade in one of the following industries:

• Manufacturing
• Tourism
• Transport & Logistics
• Information Technology
• Professional Services (Surveying & Drafting, Engineering Services, etc)
• Mining & Resource Industry Related
• Environmental
• Creative Design

The business then needs to qualify and pass three tests.

1. The business must have traded for at least 3 years (not necessarily in the same ownership).
2. Turnover of the business must be in excess of $1.5M.
3. The business needs to be solvent.

If the business qualifies for Enterprise Connect Scheme, a business review is then undertaken by a consultant at no cost to the business.   The business then, may undertake services as recommended in the business review, and the government will match dollar for dollar up to $20,000.

Whilst the Enterprise Connect Scheme will cease 30 June, 2014, submissions made and approved prior to that date will still be eligible for the review and funding.  If you consider that you may be eligible for this funding, or you know of another business owners that may be able to benefit, please be in contact with us as soon as possible.  We will be able to provide further information and relevant contacts for submissions to be made, and assist as appropriate.+

As from 1 July, 2014, the federal government has introduced a new scheme, the Entrepreneurs Infrastructure Program, and further details of that program will be released shortly.  We will keep you informed accordingly.

It is important to act now if you wish to further explore opportunities for this funding.
